How often should I be brushing and flossing at home?
Our typical recommendation is that patients should be brushing twice a day and flossing once (preferably at the end of the day). It’s also important to attend professional, in-depth cleanings with our talented team every six months on average so that we can eliminate decay-causing plaque and tartar accumulations on a regular basis. We strive to help you enjoy a healthy, happy smile for many years to come!
What kinds of dental problems can dental crowns correct? What about dental bridges?
Dental crowns are individual restorations that are designed to cover the visible portion of single teeth. Dr. Ferguson is likely to recommend a new dental crown when a patient is suffering from severe decay that can’t be treated with a filling, a structural injury, or a serious cosmetic imperfection. Alternatively, dental bridges (also commonly referred to as “crown and bridge”) can replace one or more missing teeth along the same arch in a row. This restoration is anchored securely into place within the mouth through the use of additional dental crowns that are fitted over natural teeth.
