New Dental Patient Information - Metairie, LA

Your First Visit

At Second Line Family Dentistry, we’ll treat you like an old friend even at your very first visit. You’ll receive a courtesy phone call from our Metarie dental office and we will offer to let you fill out your patient forms online. This will help you save time during your appointment! When you come to see us, Anais, our front desk coordinator will greet you at the door. Then, Marshauiona, our dental assistant, will walk you through the office so you can get to know us and we can learn a little more about you as well. You’ll then meet with Dr. Mayda Ferguson, and she’ll review your medical history and let you ask any questions you might have. From there, she will take a variety of images and x-rays so she can come up with your own customized treatment plan. She’ll take as much time as you need to make sure you understand every aspect of it. From there, we’ll introduce you to one of our hygienists, and they’ll perform a dental cleaning.

Financial Policy

Our primary goal is to provide you with the finest care at the most reasonable cost, therefore payment is due at the time the service is rendered. We accept most insurances and strive to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures in as little time as possible. Our staff will verify your benefits beforehand and submit proper claims for reimbursement. As a courtesy, only the estimated portion of your out-of-pocket fee will be due at the time of service. Most insurance companies will respond within four weeks. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid its portion is your responsibility. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect payments made by your insurance company or if you need any additional assistance.
